The most high-calorie strawberry products are: canned strawberries, which contains 92 kCal / 100 g and increased level of carbohydrates; strawberry syrup with a caloric content of 154 kCal per 100 g; and strawberry jam with a caloric content of 285 kCal per 100 g. Hence, when these products are used in large quantities, they can cause obesity. Strawberry in average consists of water - 88%, and dry matter: soluble - 8,6%, insoluble - 3,2%. The amount of sugar and acid in strawberries depends on both the variety and the conditions of growing. Strawberries belong to a group of fruits that contain a minimum level of sucrose and almost equal amounts of fructose and glucose, namely: 1.1% sucrose on average, 2.7% fructose, 2.5% glucose.
