Pumpkin, diced (Ukraine)

Flash-frozen natural product. Storage conditions: store at a temperature not higher than minus 18°С and relative humidity not more than 95%. Shelf life: 24 months from the manufacture date. Pumpkin (Latin: Cucurbita) is a bright orange vegetable, whose homeland is South America. By size, the fruits can reach up to about one meter in diameter, and to a mass over 200 kg. All the pulp of pumpkin and its seeds are suitable for consumption. The rind is quite rough and hard, so it should be peeled or skinned before cooking. The first mention of this vegetable is dated earlier than five thousand years BC. Cultivation of the pumpkin was initiated by the ancient tribes of Native Americans. They used pumpkin pulp to prepare a variety of dishes, seeds - to press oil, and the hard rind they cleaned from pulp thoroughly and used as hollow ware and vessels. Cultivation of pumpkin in Ukraine began in the 16th century.
